ARAG Accumulates Awards Including Call Center Certification

ARAG has said that it has been chosen as the Best Kept Secret in Des Moines for the 2010 Economic Impact and Celebrate Business Awards, sponsored by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Des Moines Business Record.
For its business practices and customer service, ARAG has received several awards. These awards include recognition as One of the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance magazine, Center of Excellence from BenchmarkPortal (News - Alert), and Customer Service Team of the Year in insurance, banking and financial services by The American Business Awards.
The company is a provider of legal insurance, offering comprehensive legal plans that provide a smart and trusted path for resolving legal issues. It has an international premium base of almost $2 billion and protects 15.5 million individuals and their families.
Erin Barfels, chief human resources officer at ARAG, said that for the past 75 years, ARAG has provided legal insurance to help people with personal legal issues, and it has served the community through participation in charitable activities.
The Best Kept Secret Award is given to a local business that applies “best-in-class” practices to serve customers and the community while maintaining a low profile, according to company officials.
“We are pleased to accept the Best Kept Secret Award honoring ARAG as a business leader and good corporate citizen,” Barfels said.
